Yandex search results may be unavailable

Yandex has reported problems at its data centres. Search results and Wordstat may be disrupted. Recovery times are not yet known.

If search fails, try again later. Google availability is checked separately.

Bulk processing FAQ

What does bulk SERP analysis show, and how does it differ from rank tracking?

It collects the search results for a list of queries, including the pages, titles and snippets returned for your selected settings. Use it to compare competitors and understand which kinds of content appear for your keywords.

An optional target domain adds its position within the retrieved results. Use the rank checking tool for project-based tracking and comparisons across dates. Bulk SERP analysis describes the results collected during this particular run.

How should I prepare queries, and how are duplicates handled?

Enter one query per line or upload a UTF-8 TXT, CSV or TSV file up to 256 KB. CSV and TSV files should contain one column, optionally headed Query or Keyword. Download the sample file from the form if you need a starting point.

A batch accepts up to 100 unique queries. Empty lines are skipped, and duplicates that differ only in case or extra spaces are combined. Search operators and quotation marks are preserved, so an exact-match query remains an exact-match query.

How do I compare search engines and devices?

Use Add search settings to create separate rows for the combinations you need. Each row has its own engine, device and region. Google rows also have a results page and a language selector where the region supports multiple languages. You can add up to 20 rows.

To compare both engines on both devices, add Google desktop, Google mobile, Yandex desktop and Yandex mobile. Every query runs against each selected configuration and has a separate result. Identical configurations are combined before processing and charging.

How many results are collected, and what does the Google page selector mean?

A Google check retrieves one page of 10 results: page 1 covers positions 1–10, page 2 covers 11–20, and page 5 covers 41–50. Pages 1 through 10 are available. Selecting page 5 does not automatically collect the four preceding pages.

Yandex retrieves its top 100 results in one check, so the page selector does not apply to Yandex. Add separate Google settings rows if you want to collect several results pages for the same queries.

Why enter a domain, and what does a missing position mean?

The domain is optional. Leave it empty to collect search results, or enter example.com or a website URL to look for that domain. The URL path is discarded because position matching uses the domain.

A missing position means the domain was absent from the results collected for that check. Absence on Google page 5 only describes positions 41–50; it does not establish absence from the entire search index or all results pages. Collect other pages or use a rank check with a suitable depth.

Why can these results differ from a search in my browser?

Search engine, region, device, language and check time can all affect results. Compare checks with matching settings: mobile results for one city may differ from desktop results in another region.

A normal browser may also use your account, history and location. Bulk analysis uses the selected search parameters, so a difference from a manual search does not by itself indicate an error.

How is limit usage calculated?

The maximum cost is the number of unique queries multiplied by the number of unique search configurations. For example, 10 queries across four engine/device combinations require up to 40 limits. An additional Google results page is another configuration.

The launch button updates immediately when you edit queries, upload a file or change settings. The maximum amount is reserved when the batch starts. A completed cache hit returns that check’s reservation; the results show the final usage.

Can I close the tab, stop a batch or export results?

Processing continues in the background after launch. Return through batch history to view progress and results. Stopping cancels checks that have not started and returns their limits; a running check may finish, and completed results remain available.

Expand each result to view its SERP, or download CSV with query, engine, device, region, language, results page, positions, URLs, titles and snippets. Failed checks can be retried separately. Account results are retained for 30 days and guest results for 7 days; guests need the same browser and saved cookies.
